Super Chocolatey Muffins Recipe

Everyone loves a lot bit of chocolate now and then, I guess I just can't resist!
This recipe was originally from the BBC Good Food recipe book, I slightly altered it to perfection.

What you will need:
250g plain flour
25g Green and Black's cocoa powder
2 tsp of baking powder
1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda
100g white chocolate
100g milk chocolate
2 beaten eggs
284ml of soured cream
110g dark brown sugar
85g melted butter

  • Preheat the oven to 180c and prepare the muffin cases in a baking tray.
  • Cut up your peices of chocolate into chunky squares (I chose Cadburys because its absolutley delicious).
  • In a bowl, combine the flour, cocoa, baking powder, bicarbonate of soda and chocolate together.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together the eggs, soured cream, sugar and butter.
  • Gradually add the flour t the sour cream mixture until it is just combined and the mixture is stiff( But do not overcook it!).

  • Generously fill the chocolatey goodness into the muffin cases.

  • Bake for 25 minutes until it is well risen. Remove it from the tins and place it to cool on a wire rack.
*This recipe makes around 16 muffins.
